Where Do We Go from Here?

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, take a look at this one. LGBT Flag

It shows the American Embassy in Israel flying the American flag and right below it the LGBT flag. Who knew that they had a flag? Ambassador Dan Shapiro stated: “For the first time in history, the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv has raised the Pride flag together with our American flag. We are proud to join with the municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo and its residents in celebrating LGBT Pride Week.”

The thousand words this picture speaks to me all describe the decline of America. As of just a few decades ago Americans recognized homosexuality for what it is. The American Psychiatric Association identified it as a pathology. Most Americans viewed homosexuals as troubled people who were detrimental to themselves and to society in general. Here is just one among many statistics exposing that reality: “The Journal of Sex Research reports, ‘Although heterosexuals outnumber homosexuals by a ratio of at least 20 to 1, homosexual pedophiles commit about one-third of the total number of child sex offenses.’” In other words, they commit six times more sexual assaults against children than does the average person in the general population. Now those practicing this lifestyle are celebrated, and an ambassador of our nation has chosen to identify America with that lifestyle.

Here is my burden.

I have spent a lifetime observing the decline of America. My growing up years were in the 50s when America had reached its zenith in practically every category. Since that time we have plummeted in almost every way that a nation can decline. That trend reversed for eight years during the Reagan presidency, but otherwise it has all been downhill. Even the George W. Bush years manifested decline in many ways. During the past five years the bottom has virtually fallen out, leaving us in freefall.

This decline has resulted from forces at work in our society aimed at stripping us of our Christian cultural foundation that has been the basis for our success, and replacing it with anti-Christian values. The celebration of homosexuality seems to be the capstone of that effort.

If America continues down this path, life as we know it will cease to exist.

One reason Americans are so indifferent to that prospect is because they have never experienced anything but the current affluence. Posting pictures of the bread lines and job lines of the Depression or showing the kind of murder, rape, and slavery inflicted by foreign invaders might create some sense of urgency. However, Americans are just very sure that life will continue as is, even though none of the rest of the world enjoys such an existence.

My greatest burden is this. I see nothing that will reverse the downward direction that America has been following throughout my lifetime. It has come about by the liberal takeover of higher education followed by the liberal domination of the news and entertainment media along with the liberal takeover of the judiciary which has led to the liberal takeover of the American mindset. Another tool employed by the left is voter fraud, which played a significant role in the reelection of Barack Obama. Yet another piece of their strategy that is playing out has to do with illegal immigration, which in all probability will result in an added Democratic voting bloc, which presents the potential for such vast numbers that it would permanently maintain Democrats in power. Beyond all this we see liberal power in unions, most nonprofit organizations, most foundations and other money sources, and the list could go on.

Even though a gifted leader such as Ronald Reagan potentially could appear on the scene, as we have witnessed liberal forces will just wait him out and then again reinsert their agenda.

To me the LGBT flag in the picture above conveys liberal victory, one I have watched progressing for many years. The above list of liberal strengths seems to secure that victory. I see nothing standing in its way.

One might contend that conservatives have some things going for them, too. In my next post I plan to show that conservatives have very little capacity for reversing this trend.

So why do I take your time to share all this bad news? To underscore the urgency of our doing something. Doing nothing will result in our destruction. We can either wait for that to happen or participate in a counterattack. Only time will tell which we choose.
